Bigueno women are people of great artistry, and bring a lot of importance and contributions to  cultural crafts and food in Vigan. They are known for crafts like weaving abel, even pottery making, and foods like bibingka, longganisa and empanada. Vigan is home to well-known hero Gabriela Silang, with her strong passion for justice led 2,000 men to revolt against the Spaniards for the liberation of Vigan.

Women are also very important in the whole world. They have contributed so much, even if in the past women were of no match for men. They have fought for equality, freedom, and for the same treatment as men. Women have suffered in the past and still do. Everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. The ability to live and work without prejudice is a fundamental right, regardless of your background, identity and experiences.
